Happy

Bey

You’re going sailing.

(with me)

JP (the skipper) is organising a reboot of last year’s [very successful] trip and since we’re both hitting 40 I thought it might be fun to jump onboard. We’ll sail out of Lymington, likely visiting Cowes and Newtown Bay early on. If it’s smooth sailing, we could head east landing in Bembridge, Chichester, Brighton and maybe even lunch in France. There’s no firm plan, we’re going where the wind takes us.

What’s included:

  • 5x days on a 45” sailing yacht called Rincewind.

  • Transport to/from Lymington (we’ll take the Defender)

  • Charter Fee/Marina Fees/Security Deposit etc

  • Food

What you’ll need:

  • To get yourself here.

  • Waterproof jacket, sailing jacket with hood preferred.

  • Waterproof trousers. Salopettes if possible.

  • Sailing boots. This is the only thing you MUST buy, £40-75 for a cheep pair.

  • Layers that can be easily added or removed. Synthetic or wool, never cotton or anything that holds water.

  • Hat (warm one) and sunhat with a cord.

  • Sunglasses with a retainer; sunscreen.

  • Seasickness tablets if you think that’ll be a problem.

  • Bedding/sleeping bag.

When we’ll go:

  • The charter will be Monday - Friday sometime between mid April and late May. We’re targeting late May to maximise the chance of fine weather. Will confirm ASAP.
